Work from an independent study. Over the course of a semester, I worked with printmaking to explore ideas related to Jewish folklore. Illustrating tales from the fools of Chelm and ideas related to New years auspiciousness allowed me to consider ideas around the romanticization of the shtetl, as well as the significance of oral tradition in Judaism.
